This year, 2025, BeCause decided to take a break from our Healthcare Program in response to requests for fundraising support from two charities—NASAM (National Stroke Association of Malaysia) and ASPAC (Assisi Palliative Care). BeCause has been supporting both charities for over 10 years.
The two events were held close together—on 27 July and 2 August respectively—so the BeCause committee and members had to double their efforts to help.
For the ASPAC event, which was a fundraising dinner at Yuk Chai School, we managed to secure eight tables in addition to individual donations.
For NASAM’s Food & Fun Fair at Taman Jaya, we sponsored a stall and contributed items to sell, along with helping to sell coupons. It wasn’t just sweat and work—it was also a fun way to raise funds! The photos say it all.
Thanks again to our kind sponsors and friends, we managed to raise the following amounts:
- ASPAC: RM34,500
- NASAM: RM17,000
We were delighted to learn that both events exceeded their fundraising targets:
- ASPAC’s total reached nearly RM1 million
- NASAM’s total was about RM340,000
